Kindle (EBook) Quick Formatter Code in GITHUB, binaries too... Link to Github Programmed in Java. Made for me, as I write my novels/stories in plain text, and then need to get them into Sigil for Kindle or general EPUB publishing. Recently added support for me to make comments in the text, which are used to create outlines and are stripped out of the final product. DocTags Recently added support for me to make comments in the text, which are used to create outlines and are stripped out of the final product. DocTags aren't counted in the word count or outputted in the cleaned plain text or html output. -Example of text #1: -= Chapter 12: Fallout =- [[*botday: still 29th *]][[*scene: walking down the road *]] He was just humming to himself as he walked now. RPGmaker MV plugin: Dynamically change appearance and clothes

Image
I wrote an alpha state plugin to RPG Maker MV to try to change an actor's appearance based upon what they were wearing: It starts with the armor, and adding notes to them. Then adding notes on the actor. Then making sure that the items used are in the appropriate directory: Armor: ( Example Note for a hat ) <CCG_ITEM_FACEX_1:accb: armor/FG_AccB_p08_c2_m016 0 > <CCG_ITEM_FACEX_RULE_1: actor.gender==='Male' > <CCG_ITEM_FACE: accb: armor/FG_AccB_p08_c2_m016 0 > <CCG_ITEM_TV: accb: armor/TV_AccB_p08 0 > Actors: (Some tags are here from other plugins) <ECHAttributes> gender:male orientation:female other1:false </ECHAttributes> <CCGProfileFace> body:face/male/FG_Body_p01_c1_m001 1 face:face/male/FG_Face_p01_c1_m001 2 pupil: face/FG_Eyes_p03_c1_m002 62 eyes: face/FG_Eyes_p03_c2 eyebrows: face/FG_Eyebrows_p04_c1_m003 0 -100 -100 -100 eyebrows: face/FG_Eyebrows_p04_c2_m001 0 -100 -100 -100 mouth: ...

KDP export error and NoScript

Image
A few days ago I started getting a message on my KDP page, when I was exporting my reports. This was No Script trying to protect me from "https://kdp.amazon.com" calling "https://kdp-export-dashboard.s3.amazonaws.com". In NoScript there is an options section, where you can find the XSS tab and just type in a new rule like: ^https://kdp-export-dashboard.s3.amazonaws.com/[a-z]* or something like ^https://kdp-export-dashboard.s3.amazonaws.com/(.*)response-content-disposition=attachment(.*)+$ So, like: Of course, does that mean that now anything can call that page from any other? Are there more settings I need to look into?

Changing hardware and using Microsoft Windows 10 is so much fun! Not.

Well, don't upgrade your hardware on your own PC if you got the 'free' upgrade to windows 10. Even calling them and telling them you have a valid Windows 7 license gets you nowhere So now I have to reinstall Windows 7 and hope that Microsoft doesn't screw with me more, and then either stick with Windows 7 or try the horrendeous Windows 10 upgrade again. Why must my son want to use Windows? Ugh!

To be or not to be, a Steam game.

Is it really a Steam game, when you have to go through hoops to play it? So, you download the game through the Steam interface, and then you go to play it. Okay, a custom launcher comes up for you to login with... you sigh, and sign up with them, and then login, ready to play. But then that launcher starts to download the game... Ugh! I thought Steam handled that!!!! Usually I'll just cancel the game download. I mean, meh, if they can't bother to make better integration, why should I waste my time on their game.
